“Before embarking on DePaul University’s new concentration in Hispanic marketing, Eric Acevedo didn’t speak Spanish fluently, but he didn’t need to. He knew that whether you’re talking about an American dollar, Mexican peso or a Brazilian real — its all money.

Acevedo, a 20-year-old marketing major at DePaul University, knew his business and communication skills alone wouldn’t guarantee his ability to tap into the estimated $700 billion Latino consumer market, which is expected to swell to up to $1 trillion by 2010.”
