The summit will take place on March 27, 2007 at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City. The event will showcase the advantages of doing business in Puerto Rico and will also highlight how Corporate America is currently investing in the Island.
Frank Lopez, USHCC Foundation President and CEO issued the following statement in regards to the 1st Annual Doing Business in Puerto Rico summit:
The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce USHCC Foundation is in full support of the Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce PRCC and their efforts to increase the awareness of business opportunities available in Puerto Rico. With Hispanics representing the fastest growing population in the United States, we are proud to see dynamic businesses opportunities as available in the beautiful island of Puerto Rico promoted and highlighted through this 1st Annual summit. This event represents a perfect opportunity to further enhance the growth of Latinos. Doing business in Puerto Rico is an excellent opportunity for the Hispanic community to continue to grow on a national and international level. The USHCC network has such confidence in the economy of Puerto Rico that Puerto Rico has been chosen as the site of the 2007 Annual International Convention and Business Expo to take place in San Juan, September 19-22, 2007. My sincere congratulations to Manual A.
