After spending nearly a decade collecting contemporary Cuban art for the Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale where Santis is curator of collections, Santis vision is finally taking shape.
But not in his hometown — at least, not yet. Instead, Unbroken Ties: Dialogue in Cuban Art opened in November at the Museum of Latin American Art in Long Beach, the only museum on the West Coast that exclusively focuses on contemporary Latin American art; it moves to the Fort Lauderdale museum in May.”
