“Baby Norma is still with her Mexican mother after a Tuesday review hearing to ensure that the baby was receiving proper care, and little Norma now is set to undergo surgery to repair a hole in her heart.
Judge Tom Rawlings ruled Tuesday that a woman being identified only as Ernestina - an undocumented immigrant from Mexico - could continue to care for Norma after a Division of Family and Children Services worker testified both Norma and Ernestinas 1-year-old son, Hilberto, were being well cared for.”
