Tagged: children, Connecticut, teacherPosted on: January 2nd, 2007“More than 200 needy Hispanic children in Eastern Connecticut, including many legal immigrants and working-poor families, could go without presents during their coming religious holiday, Willimantic resident Joyleen Albarracin said.
Albarracin, 41, and her friend, preschool teacher Alicia Rivera, 47, recently founded the fledgling nonprofit Grupo Cultura y Educacion, or Culture and Education Group, which is trying to collect toys for needy Christian families before Three Kings Day.”
