School districts in several other towns around Danbury saw dramatic increases in recent years in the number of students who need English language instruction.
In the past five years, Bethel public schools experienced nearly a doubling of students who attend English as a Second Language classes. And as a night ESL program for the parents of those children shows, adults also need — and want — help with English.”
