Tagged: Florida, latin america, Orlando, Professor, SpainPosted on: December 21st, 2006“The University of Central Florida revamped its Latin American studies program two years ago with a new director and a greater focus on the regions Hispanics.
As it stands now, the director has resigned and the program remains a secondary field of study. Enrollment in it has failed to take off.
Luis Martinez-Fernandez, who had redefined the program from one largely focused on Spain and Latin Americas colonial history, resigned from the directorship this month but will remain a history professor at UCF.”
