“It’s off to a slow start, but organizers of “Amigos en Azul” Friends in Blue hope the police-assistance program will grow in popularity as word spreads.

Since starting eight months ago, it has helped more than 200 Hispanic residents resolve issues ranging from where to pay for a parking ticket to how to deal with a child’s bad behavior, said Fort Wayne Police Capt. Jim Zamora.”
