Gallego re-elected to lead Hispanic caucus – Texas
Tagged: brownsville, TexasPosted on: December 21st, 2006“The Mexican American Legislative Caucus re-elected state Rep. Pete Gallego as chairman for two more years
Gallego, D-Alpine, has served as leader of the 43-member group of Texas House members since 2001.
His election to a fourth term drew some criticism among members who thought the chairmanship should rotate more often, but he was elected easily, said state Rep. Rene Oliveira, D-Brownsville, who counted the secret ballots at the Tuesday meeting of the caucus.”
