“Mario Cristobal became the first Cuban-American head football coach in Division I-A history today when he was named Florida Internationals new coach.

Cristobal, who previously served as the Miami Hurricanes offensive line coach, becomes the only Hispanic head coach at a Division I-A school, according to the University of Central Floridas Institute for Diversity and Ethics.”
