Mexican pop singer Gloria Trevi hands out presents in prison she was once held

“Wild-haired Mexican pop diva Gloria Trevi returned to the prison Monday where she was once held on rape and kidnapping charges and handed out toys and medicine to inmate mothers.

One of Latin Americas most successful female singers before she was imprisoned in 2000, Trevi set up the Anadalai Foundation last year to help incarcerated mothers and their children. She said the charity was inspired by the tough experiences she had raising a child behind bars herself.”
