Immigration through the eyes of an illegal immigrant – Monmouth, Illinois
Tagged: Illinois, MexicoPosted on: December 19th, 2006“Ricky, not his real name is a Hispanic person living in west central Illinois, who happens to be in the country illegally, but is taking steps to become a legal, American citizen.
Ricky granted the Review Atlas an interview if we agreed to conceal his identity. The goal behind the interview is to give people some insight into the issues of illegal immigration.
Ricky has been in the U.S. since late 2004. He came here for the same reason the vast majority of Hispanics come to America – to escape the poverty in Mexico and all other Central American countries.”
