“Earlier this month, when El Pasos Democratic congressional representative Silvestre Reyes was named to lead the powerful House Permanent Select Intelligence Committee, he agreed to sit down for an interview with the El Paso Times. During the interview, he was interrupted by a phone call from Rep. Ike Skelton, D-Mo., who later was named head of the House Armed Services Committee.
“Congressman who?” Reyes asked, adjusting the angle of his cell phone against his ear. “Yes, Ill talk to him.”"
