Tagged: day laborers, Long Island, New YorkPosted on: December 17th, 2006“Assuming a new name has often been part of the immigration experience. Farmingville, or at least the more affluent half of it, where few if any of the new immigrants live, would have itself be known instead as the village of Oak Hills.”
