On Saturday, residents gathered at a community center in Santa Ana to make tamales to take home to their families and give to others who are less fortunate.
MANA, a nonprofit that aspires to empower Hispanic women, plans to distribute the tamales at Christmas. Last year, the organization made 1,400 tamales and donated more than 500 and hopes to do the same this season, said Patricia Gazda de Sullivan, president of MANA de Orange County.”
