“FORMER San Mateo County Supervisor Ruben Barrales, who has spent five years in the White House as a deputy assistant to President Bush and director of the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs, will return to his home state in January.
But hell be headed south, slated to become the new president and chief executive of the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce on Jan. 8.
“For him, this made sense, because it fits so perfectly into all the things that interest him,” said Rachel Laing, a spokeswoman for the chamber.”
