“At the Los Paisanos bus terminal here, the long red benches lining the wall were full of Hispanic travelers juggling suitcases, boxes and restless children as they waited for the next bus to Mexico.

Outside the terminal, Fernando Mauricio and his wife, Maria de Jesus Rosales, took in some fresh air before boarding the bus for the 20-hour ride back to Chihuahua. Theyd just spent 10 days in Wichita, where they had come up for the 15th birthday celebration of a young relative and to escape the grind back home.”
