For Christmas MAYA is giving $10,000 to different local non-profit organizations. This year has been a profitable year for MAYA. It wants to spread that wealth with the community based groups that are serving the Latino community.MAYA has invited the selected non-profits to its Georgetown offices for the presentation of the checks. The president of MAYA, Luis Vasquez-Ajmac, along with members of the non-profits will be present.
WHO:
MAYA will host a holiday coffee and tea reception. The non-profits that will receive the checks are: CentroNí, Rosemount Center, Mary’s Center, Carlos Rosario, Casa de Maryland, Maru Montero Dance Company, Latin American Youth Center, Centro Catolico, Bell Multicultural High School and EOFULA Spanish Senior Center.WHEN:
