“The freshman at John Muir High School is one of 35 students who have won scholarships to participate in Pasadena Art Center College of Design’s Maestro’s Fine Arts Program.

Catering to predominately African-American and Latino teenagers living in underserved communities, the lessons are based out of a South Central coffee shop owned by the “Maestro” - well known Los Angeles painter and sculptor Victor Hugo Zayas.”
