Knowledge is Power!
“For Hispanic families, holiday gatherings mean joy, great food, family and plenty of festive music. Now, AT&T is offering visitors to its Spanish-language Web site a unique way to share in the tradition even when separated by distance through a fun, interactive holiday online card that allows families to celebrate the spirit of the season together.
Available exclusively at http://att.com/feliz “Canta y Comparte la Alegrí de las Fiestas” is an online e-card experience inspired by the traditional posada and parrandas to enable visitors to participate in the musical journeys from home to home even if they are not in the same city. Visitors to the Web site can choose from two landscapes and upload their photos into animated characters that will sing and dance to Spanish holiday music
AT&T has created the card to keep Hispanics connected with friends and family, share the memories and spread traditions during the holidays. According to research from Pew Internet Project’s report The Holidays Online, Hispanics were more likely than other groups to send e-greeting cards — 45% of Hispanics surveyed send e-cards.
Visitors can go to att.com/feliz to access the card. The interactive e-card enables visitors to select from six characters, including characters for grandparents, parents and kids, customize the characters by uploading a personal photo, and select the character’s wardrobe. The process takes about 10 minutes to complete and visitors can send the card to up to five e-mail contacts with a personalized message. Visitors can create characters for their whole family in one e-card (maximum of 10 characters) and send it as a family greeting card, or personalize one character and invite friends and family to join their e-card by uploading their photos.
“Canta y Comparte la Alegrí de las Fiestas” is an innovative way to keep important Hispanic holiday traditions alive through the power of the Internet,” said Jason Pastrano, AT&T director of Multicultural Marketing. “For Hispanics, spending time with family and friends is most important during the holiday season – we wanted to offer the ability to stay connected and participate in the festivities even for those who can’t be physically together .”
The “Canta y Comparte la Alegrí de las Fiestas” e-card is now live at att.com/feliz and will be available until January 7, 2007.
