“The tragedies have not escaped Nashville’s Hispanic community. Last June, Gustavo Garcia was charged in the death of a Mt. Juliet couple, and just last week Julio Villasana was charged in the death of Charlie Derrington. Both cases are alleged to be the result of driving under the influence.
Leaders in the Hispanic community are concerned about the lack of awareness about consequences of drinking and driving and as the holiday season gets underway, one local organization is spearheading an effort to educate and encourage people to be safe on the roads. “
