DIRECTV Adds KEPA-42 Azteca America to the El Paso, Texas Local Broadcast Channel Lineup

” DIRECTV, Inc., provider of the nation’s leading satellite television service, has added KEPA-42, Azteca America, to the El Paso local broadcast channel lineup. With the launch of El Paso, DIRECTV now offers Azteca America in 25 markets, representing over 68 percent of U.S. Hispanic TV households.

DIRECTV customers in this DMA who subscribe to the local channel package can now see a variety of Azteca America’s Spanish-language entertainment programming, including worldwide soccer highlight coverage, “Ventaneando” with Patti Chapoy, newscasts from Mexico, highly popular novelas and professional Mexican League Soccer matches. TV Azteca, the second-largest producer of Spanish-language programming in the world, provides KEPA-42 with the full array of TV Azteca’s hard-hitting, highly popular novelas in weekday primetime, including two brand new novellas, “Amor sin Condiciones” and “Amores Cruzados.”

DIRECTV also offers customers in the El Paso DMA access to other local Spanish-language stations including KTFN/Telefutura Channel 65; KTDO/Telemundo Channel 48 and KINT/Univision Channel 26. To receive local channels, DIRECTV customers can subscribe to the SELECCION EXTRA(TM) for $29.99 or TOTAL CHOICE(R) for $44.99 a month.”
