“Raul Yzaguirre, executive director of the Center for Community Development and Civil Rights, and former president of the National Council of La Raza (NCLR), was honored Nov. 30 by the Sargent Shriver National Center on Poverty Law at an awards dinner in Chicago.

Yzaguirre received the “Sargent Shriver Award for Equal Justice: For Distinguished Achievement in Building Collaborations to Overcome Poverty.””
