“The ascension of Rep. Joe Baca Sr. (D-Rialto) to the post of chairman of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) signals the recognition of the growing importance of the Inland Empire in national politics.

For the first time since its inception, the CHC has chosen a Latino from the Inland Empire to lead it into a new phase, one with a Democratic majority in both the House of Representatives and the Senate.”
