“National Council of La Raza (NCLR) Affiliate, La Casa de Esperanza, will host a two-day training session for several Latino community-based organizations (CBOs) from around the country Thursday, November 30 and Friday, December 1. These sessions will showcase the work of La Casa de Esperanza as a model for how other CBOs can help strengthen Hispanic families in their communities.

In 2006, La Casa de Esperanza received the National Council of La Raza and Annie E. Casey Foundation Family Strengthening Award for its Children, Family, and Youth Program. The honored program emphasizes education for children and youth through areas such as child care, early childhood education, recreational activities, tutoring, and mentoring. The program provides bilingual services designed to support the entire family, allowing parents to maintain their employment and secure learning opportunities for their children.”
