“As a resident of Cherokee County, an associate of religion at Reinhardt College and a minister of the United Methodist Church, I am opposed to the proposed Cherokee ordinance imposing penalties on landlords who rent to illegal aliens.

Holding landlords responsible for checking the legal or migratory status of their renters is not the answer to the many challenges posed by illegal immigration in our country and state.”
