Despite flattening market, HomeBanc commits to Hispanic division

“HomeBanc En Español, a division of HomeBanc Corp. born three years ago in Atlanta to serve the fast-growing Hispanic market, is planning to expand services here, despite the free fall of housing sales in Florida.

Numbers provided by lenders to the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council show that Tampa is ripe for HomeBanc’s picking. There were 13,616 transactions closed in the Hispanic market in Tampa last year. The number was just 3,470 in 1999.
