“As terms like “hospice” and “palliative care” become more familiar in the health-care setting, more families are opting for hospice care than in the past.

However, minority groups, including Hispanics, generally are less likely to use hospice services than Anglos, according to experts. Cultural and language differences might play a major role in preventing Hispanic families from enlisting hospice services for terminally ill relatives, health-care administrators say.”
