Knowledge is Power!
“Saturday’s breakfast, sponsored by the Pueblo Hispanic Education Foundation and the Latino Chamber of Commerce, has been held each Saturday after Thanksgiving for the past dozen years, according to City Councilman Ray Aguilera, its organizer and driving force.
The audience was kids who have been in trouble in the district truancy court or the city’s municipal court, and their parents.
Aguilera said he wanted them to hear how other people made it out of lives that weren’t set up for success, and to hear that the community of Pueblo has the caring and resources to help them do it.”
