And they came in numbers that far exceeded original expectations, according to one of the event’s organizers.
“We had originally planned to host only 500 students and maybe 30 exhibitors who would discuss their careers and the requirements for getting into those professions,” said Dr. Ida Acuña-Garza, a retired Texas Cooperative Extension agent in Hidalgo County.”
