“After feeling after-shocks from labor shortages due to recent border policies, René Garcia sees steadier times up ahead.

Garcia, owner of G&G Orchards, was surprised when Mexican President Vicente Fox sent representatives to follow up nearly a month ago after his May visit to the Naches Heights farm. At the time, Fox hinted that he wanted to help Hispanic growers in the Yakima Valley, but Garcia didn’t expect him to follow through.”
