I was listening to a local radio station on the way home from dropping los niños at school not really paying attention when a Verizon commercial came on and towards the end I heard “para Español marca dos.” This is only the second time I have heard Spanish used in a commercial on the radio in my town (the other was for the Army) so I was surprised. I was also pleased with the way it was integrated into the copy. I live in a small town with a very small Latino population so I am sure that most of the audience doesn’t speak Spanish so this judicious use was well done, imho.
