“Rep. on Wednesday was elected chairman of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, making him the most politically powerful Latino member of Congress.

Baca, D-Rialto, was chosen by his Democratic Latino colleagues in the House of Representatives and the Senate. There are 21 Latinos in the House and two in the Senate.”
