Hispanic leaders to try to block new ordinances - Farmers Branch, Texas

“Hispanic leaders are gearing up for a multipronged attack against Farmers Branch to try to stop city leaders from enacting ordinances barring illegal immigrants from renting apartments and allowing police officers to check the residency status of people they arrest.

They are calling for an economic boycott of any businesses in the Dallas suburb not owned by Hispanics and plan to meet in the next few days to hammer out a legal strategy they say could include a class-action lawsuit.”
