“The Pledge of Allegiance rang out on Tuesday the loudest it has to date in the new Rogers City Hall when a full house packed the City Council Chambers to talk immigration.

It wasn’t on the official agenda, but became the main topic in a 55-minute public input session. Mayor Steve Womack, expecting the discussion, opened by reading a prepared statement in which he announced a plan to train Rogers police officers under a federal program giving them more power when it comes to immigration enforcement.”
