“A Spanish university on Friday decided to withdraw an honorary doctorate degree awarded to dictator Francisco Franco in 1965, university officials said.
The rector of the University of Santiago de Compostela, Senen Barro, told reporters the school’s governing body was revoking the degree because the dictator “lacked sufficient academic distinction.”"
