“In this year’s closely watched U.S. Senate race, some Hispanics throughout South Jersey are willing to vote for state Sen. Thomas H. Kean Jr., even if it means rejecting one of their own.
Many Hispanics say they won’t be cornered into supporting Democratic Sen. Robert Menendez simply because he’s Hispanic.
“I think that Hispanics need to start thinking about who they are voting for,” said Jose Santiago, 66, a retired Camden City worker. “They have to think about what the candidate has done in the past and what is their agenda.”"
