The scholarship, which was named in honor of the inspirational Latina leader, will provide the National Youth Entrepreneurship BizFest winner with a four year renewable scholarship award of $2000.00.
Liliam Lujan Hickey was born in Havana, Cuba, and has lived in Nevada for over 35 years. Mrs. Hickey has held numerous leadership positions and has served on many boards. Some of the positions that Mrs. Hickey has held include past Chair of the USHCC Foundation Board of Directors, President of the Latin Chamber of Commerce and past President of the Nevada State Board of Education and Occupational Education, where she was the first woman ever to be selected to this position. “
