“Martinez is part of a group of parents who claim their children speak English well enough and don’t need to be enrolled in a bilingual kindergarten class created at Robbins Annex School this week.

The handful of parents said school officials are coercing them to join the program by threatening to transfer the students to another school if they don’t enroll in bilingual studies.”
