Knowledge is Power!

“Dolores Arroyo seems to have been born to teach, perhaps even to teach the students she is teaching at Kelseyville Elementary School.

More than half of the students in Arroyo’s first-grade class at Kelseyville are Hispanic and an estimated half of those are the children of Hispanic migrant laborers. It’s a perfect fit. As one of five siblings in the family of a migrant farm worker from Mexico, herself, Arroyo can relate to the language and adjustment difficulties posed by the itinerant lives of these children.”
