“Pop sensation RBD brought Latin rhythms and sound to Houston, the fourth largest city in the United States, with a historic sold-out concert. The music group has garnered cross-over appeal due to the huge fan following of the Televisa-produced, youth-oriented telenovela “Rebelde,” which airs nationally on Univision Network. Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. was responsible for bringing the group to Houston to perform, for the first time on American soil, their third in-studio album, “Celestial,” which will be available at Wal-Mart stores nationwide on November 24 with an exclusive offer at Wal-Mart prices.
Nearly 10,000 fans at Houston’s Toyota Center sang along with RBD members, Dulce Maria, Christopher, Anahi, Maite, Alfonso and Christian, to hits like “Nuestro Amor” and “Este Corazon.” Concert attendants were treated to RBD’s first-ever live performance of songs from the group’s soon-to-be-released album, “Celestial.” Maria Guzman, self-described RBD’s #1 fan, was ecstatic the day of the concert. “I can’t believe we are part of RBD’s history; we rarely have tapings of TV shows like this in Houston; there were TV cameras everywhere,” says Maria. “This is so cool; we are going to be on TV with RBD,” adds Guzman. The show is slated to be broadcast nationwide on Univision Network November 23. “
