“New statistics show that U-S Border Patrol agents in Texas and New Mexico arrested fewer illegal immigrants in the fiscal year that ended in September than they did during the same time in 2005.

The Border Patrol says the 13 percent drop in arrests outpaced the national decrease of about 9 percent.”
