Banks needed in Latino communities – New York City

“In parts of the city, low-income, Latino and immigrant neighborhoods remain void of the colorful grand openings of new bank branches.

In the largely Latino Bushwick area of Brooklyn, for example, where tens of thousands of immigrants make their home, there are only two banks. Nationally, the average ratio is one bank per 3,000 residents – a ratio that’s reflected in Manhattan’s Upper East Side.”
