“Today’s signing of the the Secure Fence Act of 2006 took hardly any time at all.
Since President Bush is a master at masking his feelings, it wasnÂ’t hard to tell that he was wishing he was somewhere else.
To remind people that he didnÂ’t totally agree with what he was signing, though he didnÂ’t seem to have the nerve to veto it either, he brought up all the other points he WAS in favor of: a guest worker program, the deployment of National Guard troops, the increase of Border Patrol agents, more beds in detention centers, etc. “
