Mexico Center opens borders at University of Texas in San Antonio

“UTSA’s Mexico Center gives San Antonio and Mexico scholars a new way to meet and exchange knowledge. The Center offers support to researchers who focus on Mexico and provides them with the environment they need to succeed.

“We want to promote academic research on Mexico and get colleagues from the Mexican side of the border, scholars from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM), the university of Guadalajara, and other major universities in Mexico to come together with scholars on the U.S. side, particularly at UTSA, and try to address some of the issues between the U.S. and Mexico,” associate professor of sociology and director of UTSA’s Mexico Center, Harriett Romo said.”
