“eBeisbol.com, the official website of ALIANZA LATINA(c) de Béisbol and the Serie del Caribe, announced today that Latin ballplayers have made a significant impact on the Major League Baseball post season. A large portion of the Latino players have participated in the Winter Leagues in Latin America, the only leagues outside of the US sanctioned by MLB for MLB player participation. It is estimated that 30% of Major League players have participated in Winter League Baseball, whose season begins in October and culminates in February with the Serie del Caribe.
