“The Cisneros Group of Companies today announced that Movida, the nation’s first pay-as-you-go wireless communications service specifically targeting the more than 40 million Hispanics living in the United States, is expanding the content and features available to serve the information and entertainment needs of its fast-growing U.S. Hispanic customer base.

Movida now expects that by the end of next year it will have close to 500,000 subscribers.

Commenting on Movida’s rapidly expanding menu of special features for U.S.-Hispanics, Movida Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Enrique Garcia said: “Beginning in November, Movida will have more games, ring-tones, wallpaper and other entertainment options for Hispanics than any other mobile phone service. Depending on the phone model they chose, our customers are just one click away from an unparalleled selection of fun and entertainment with these new services.”

“We are also excited about the addition of expanded information services aimed specifically at the needs of our customers with roots in the diverse cultural fabric of Latin America,” he said. “These unique services include national sports scores and team statistics from all over the Spanish-speaking world, as well as links to information about popular television shows and telenovelas provided by Latcel, another member of the Cisneros Group of Companies,” Mr. Garcia said. “
