The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill lands $22M contract to study Hispanic health

The $22 million in funding will be distributed over six-and-a-half years.

“The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has landed a federal contract worth $22 million to coordinate a nationwide health study of Hispanics in the United States.

Under the terms of the contract, UNC’s Collaborative Studies Coordinating Center will examine the impact of acculturation — or the adaptation to life in a new environment and culture — on the health of the U.S. Hispanic population.”
