“It has a large religious component and a formal court. There are choreographed dances that take weeks to rehearse. And these teenagers, even the ones that seem kind of rough, take it very seriously,” said Mr. Glatzer, who, along with Wash Westmoreland, co-wrote and co-directed “Quinceañera.” The fictional film won the audience and jury award at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.”
