“Dr. Jane L. Delgado, president and CEO of the National Alliance for Hispanic Health, released the following statement today applauding the announcement of a major new federal health study of Hispanic/Latino communities in the United States:
“On behalf of the Alliance and its thousands of members who provide health services to 14 million Hispanics each year, I would like to commend the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute for its leadership in announcing today an important long-term study of Hispanic health in four major American cities. This study is a defining moment because it will help identify the assets that give Hispanics a longer life span than non-Hispanic whites.”
